On February 23, 2023, FCI commenced the Platt Arena Renovations project. Within 190 calendar days, the arena underwent a remarkable transformation, becoming the new home of the Foresters. On September 2, 2023, The Foresters proudly hosted their inaugural event in the newly renovated Platt Arena. The Volleyball team kicked off Platt Arena’s new era with two impressive wins, as the Lady Foresters secured two sweeps on that memorable day.
The updated look of the arena features a brand-new gym floor, complete with fresh finishes, an upgraded sound system, a state-of-the-art video scoreboard, new volleyball equipment, and modern basketball equipment. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for their dedicated efforts in contributing to this renovation. Our gratitude also goes out to Design Collaborative and Huntington University, who have proven to be exceptional teammates and partners throughout this process.
While there is still plenty of work to be completed, as the addition will continue throughout the 2023-2024 school year, Huntington University Foresters is eager to showcase their new home and highlight their student athletes during the 2023-2024 season. Go Foresters!!
